Questionnaires For Parents

1. Do you usually take your children for outings on weekends on a regular basis? (Yes / No)
2. Do you spend some quality time with your children each day? (Yes / No)
3. Can you name your child’s best friends? (Yes / No)
4. Do you invite your child’s friends on birthdays and try to get acquainted with them? (Yes / No)
5. How much time each day does your child spend in watching television? (Yes / No)
6. Do you know your child’s favorite television programs? (Yes / No)
7. Do you meet up with your child’s school teachers on a regular basis? (Yes / No)
8. Do your work pressures and stress take a toll on your children? (Yes / No)
9. Does your child’s academic performance put a lot of stress on you? (Yes / No)
10. Do you have conflicts with each other in front of your children? (Yes / No)
11. Do both of you follow a uniform pattern of discipline for your child? (Yes / No)
12. Do you try to have a good dialogue with your children several times a week? (Yes / No)
13. Do you submit to most of your child’s demands however unreasonable they may seem to be?(Yes / No)

Interpretation:
If you answer in the negative for even a few questions above or if you are unable to answer a few of the questions; then it would mean the following:
  • You need to urgently get in tune with your child’s daily activities
  • You need to work with your own pressures and stress.
  • You need to acquire a few time management techniques to enable you to spend time with your children.
  • You need to develop a few communication skills with your children.
